Schedule A: Prohibited Items and Packaging Requirements

This Schedule states the package eligibility, prohibited-item, disclosure, packaging, labeling, inspection, and refusal requirements for every Delivery requested and accepted through RouteCart’s Platform. It is incorporated into the Sender Platform Terms, Driver Platform Terms, and each Sender-Driver Delivery Agreement.

1. Scope and Responsibility

The Sender is responsible for knowing the package contents and for ensuring that possession, tender, transportation, and receipt are lawful at origin, destination, and along the reasonably foreseeable route. A package is not eligible merely because the Platform accepts a category or description. The Driver must conduct the exterior review described below but is not required to open a sealed package or independently identify concealed contents. RouteCart does not inspect, possess, or certify packages.

2. Small Parcel Limits

Each package must comply with the maximum weight, exterior dimensions, and declared-value limits displayed in the Platform before the Sender submits the Delivery Request and recorded in the Transaction Record. The displayed limits may vary by service, route, vehicle type, insurance availability, or applicable law. A Sender may not split, bundle, misdescribe, or repackage items to evade an applicable limit. A package that exceeds or reasonably appears to exceed an applicable limit is ineligible, and the Driver may refuse it at pickup without penalty.

RouteCart’s Platform does not support palletized freight or other large-load transportation, household goods moving, temperature-controlled carriage, unattended storage, specialized medical transportation, armored transportation, or any service requiring commercial equipment, placards, shipping papers, special permits, or specialized training.

RouteCart’s Platform does not support international transportation or customs brokerage. A package may not require export licensing, customs declarations, sanctions screening beyond ordinary domestic commerce, delivery to a post office box, or entry into a prison, military installation, secure government site, airport sterile area, or other controlled location unless RouteCart has expressly enabled a compliant Platform program for that destination.

During RouteCart’s initial Florida launch, a package is eligible only if both the pickup and delivery locations are in Florida, the transportation will remain entirely within Florida, and the Delivery will not be a segment or continuation of a prearranged through or continuous interstate movement. A package requiring transportation across a state line or interstate motor-carrier operating authority is ineligible unless RouteCart has expressly enabled an interstate program and the additional requirements for that program are satisfied.

A Sender may not tender, and a Driver may not knowingly accept or transport:

4. Sender Disclosure Requirements

Before submitting a Delivery Request, the Sender must accurately disclose the general contents category, quantity where material, dimensions, weight, declared value, fragility, leakage or breakage risk, lawful handling needs, and any other characteristic material to safe transportation. The Sender must answer follow-up questions truthfully and may not conceal a regulated characteristic, use a misleading label, or ask a Driver to disregard a mismatch.

The Sender must provide only the minimum package and recipient information reasonably necessary for the Delivery and must not place Social Security numbers, financial credentials, medical records, access codes, or other unnecessary sensitive information on an exterior label or in free-text instructions.

5. Packaging, Sealing, and Labeling

Use a rigid, intact outer container appropriate for the contents and ordinary motor vehicle vibration, braking, stacking, handoff weather, and foreseeable temperature variation. Cushion fragile items; fill empty space; isolate liquids in sealed leak-resistant inner packaging; cover sharp edges; prevent movement, leakage, odor, discharge, activation, and contact with incompatible materials; and use an outer package that does not reveal sensitive contents. Original retail or manufacturer packaging alone may be insufficient.

Close and seal every opening. Use tamper-evident tape or another integrity control where appropriate. Remove or fully cover obsolete addresses, tracking codes, carrier labels, and other markings. Apply only accurate labels required by law or identified in the Transaction Record. No label may identify or imply that RouteCart is the carrier, shipper, consignee, package custodian, or transportation provider.

The Sender must package the item so one person can safely handle it without special equipment. The package may not obstruct the Driver’s view, interfere with vehicle controls or restraints, remain unsecured in a passenger compartment, or create a foreseeable risk to a person, vehicle, other cargo, or property.

The Sender must use packaging that permits exterior condition photographs without revealing confidential contents. Liquids must use a sealed inner container and secondary containment. Installed batteries must be secured against movement, activation, crushing, puncture, and short circuit. Fragile, high-value, or unusually shaped items are ineligible unless the Transaction Record expressly confirms acceptance under published limits.

6. Exterior Review, Handoff, and Refusal

At pickup, the Driver should compare the sealed package’s exterior condition, approximate size and weight, labels, and disclosed category with the transaction record; document visible damage or irregularities; and record the handoff. Neither RouteCart nor the Driver is required to open a sealed package. The Driver may request clarification and may refuse a package that appears prohibited, unsafe, leaking, damaged, inadequately packaged, materially misdescribed, above a limit, or beyond the Driver’s legal authority or insurance.

A good-faith refusal under this Schedule will not adversely affect account standing, matching eligibility, or access to future opportunities. The Sender may not threaten, retaliate against, penalize, or pressure a Driver for refusing or reporting a suspected violation. If the package has not been picked up, custody remains with the Sender.

If a material mismatch is discovered after pickup, the Driver must stop when safely possible, avoid opening the package, preserve custody, and use the Schedule B escalation process. Neither a Platform acceptance nor a Driver’s exterior review certifies concealed contents, legal eligibility, value, or adequate packaging.

7. Suspected Dangerous or Illegal Contents

Do not open, smell, test, consume, destroy, discard, transport further, or return a package suspected to contain a dangerous or illegal item unless lawful authorities or a documented safety protocol direct otherwise. Move away if safe, protect people from exposure, call emergency services or law enforcement when reasonably warranted, and notify RouteCart when safe to do so. RouteCart and the parties may preserve records and cooperate with insurers, regulators, emergency responders, and law enforcement.

8. Consequences and Order of Precedence

A Sender is responsible under the applicable agreements for costs and harm arising from prohibited, illegal, hazardous, misdescribed, or inadequately packaged contents, including injury, contamination, cleanup, seizure, fines, investigation, return, storage, and lawful disposition, except to the extent caused by another party’s independent wrongful conduct. RouteCart may prevent the Platform from displaying, or administratively close, a Delivery Request; suspend an account; preserve evidence; or take another action permitted by the applicable Platform Terms.

The transaction-specific Delivery Agreement and any applicable jurisdiction-specific contractual addendum that is properly presented and incorporated control over this Schedule concerning substantive liability, released value, dispute resolution, governing law, RouteCart’s role, or a nonwaivable right. This Schedule controls the operational package requirements it addresses. A change applies prospectively after notice and does not alter an already accepted Delivery Agreement unless the parties consent or applicable law requires it.
