Schedule B: Delivery Proof and Claims Procedures

Effective October 12, 2026

This Schedule states the operational procedures for acceptance, pickup, custody, delivery, proof, failed delivery, safety events, and cargo claims. It is incorporated into the Sender Platform Terms, Driver Platform Terms, and each Sender-Driver Delivery Agreement.

1. Roles and Effect

The Sender and Driver accept this Schedule as the result-based procedure for each accepted Delivery. The Driver retains control over the lawful route, sequence, stops, vehicle, equipment, and manner and means of achieving those results. RouteCart supplies technology, records, communications, payment processing, location display, proof tools, and administrative support. These procedures do not make RouteCart the transporter, give RouteCart custody, make RouteCart a cargo insurer, authorize RouteCart to supervise the Driver’s day-to-day work methods, or authorize RouteCart to adjudicate or settle legal liability for either party.

2. Before Acceptance

The Sender must provide accurate package, pickup, recipient, destination, timing, access, contactless-delivery, fallback, and special instruction information. The Driver should review route compatibility, package category and limits, timing, earnings, vehicle capacity, weather, tolls, parking, legal restrictions, and insurance. The Driver should decline if a material requirement cannot be met safely, lawfully, or within the accepted terms.

3. Pickup and Transfer of Custody

The Sender must make the sealed package available at the recorded location and time to the accepting Driver or a qualified substitute registered under the Driver Terms. The Driver should park lawfully, verify the pickup person or code, perform the exterior review required by Schedule A, record visible condition, and confirm pickup through the Platform.

Custody transfers from Sender to Driver only when the Driver physically receives the package and records pickup. A pickup record should include the transaction identifier, timestamp, approximate geolocation, identity or verification method, and exterior condition proof requested by the Platform. A Platform record is evidence but does not conclusively determine a disputed fact.

A substitute handoff must identify both Drivers, the time and place, the package’s visible condition, and each person’s electronic confirmation. The original Driver selects and directs the substitute and remains responsible as stated in the Driver Terms. RouteCart’s role is limited to objective eligibility verification and chain-of-custody recording. No transfer to an unapproved person or another carrier is permitted.

4. In Transit

The Driver must keep the package secured in an enclosed area out of public view and reasonably protected from movement, weather, temperature extremes, animals, contaminants, incompatible cargo, and unauthorized access. The Driver chooses the lawful route and may make reasonable stops or combine compatible work without jeopardizing the accepted result. The Driver must interact with the app only while safely stopped.

The Driver may not open, use, photograph the contents, tamper with, misappropriate, abandon, pledge, sell, or permit unauthorized access to the package. The Driver may not take it aboard an aircraft, through passenger or baggage screening, into a secured airport area, or transfer it to an airline, rail, bus, postal, courier, locker, other carrier, or unapproved person unless a separately reviewed program and the Sender expressly authorize the transfer in writing.

5. Delivery and Proof

At delivery, the Driver must verify the recorded location and use the confirmation method stated in the Transaction Record. Depending on package value, placement risk, and the selected service, the method may be a Recipient name or signature, a one-time code, authenticated contactless placement, or, only under a separately reviewed program, visual review of identification. Unless that program expressly requires and law permits it, the Driver may not photograph, scan, or retain identification. The Driver may not enter a residence or unsafe restricted area. If a material inconsistency, visible damage, refusal, or safety issue arises, the Driver should record it and contact the Sender through Platform channels before completing the handoff when reasonably practicable.

Proof may include timestamps, approximate geolocation, exterior package and placement photographs, pickup or Recipient codes, Recipient name or signature, delivery status, and transaction communications. Capture only what is reasonably necessary and avoid faces where practicable, house interiors, identification documents, payment information, access codes, and unrelated people or property. No participant may falsify, stage, alter, recycle, or submit another Delivery’s proof. These records may help show what happened, but no single record automatically decides a dispute; all reliable evidence may be considered.

Custody ends upon: (a) verified delivery to the recipient; (b) authorized contactless placement with reasonable proof; (c) recorded return to the Sender; or (d) documented transfer to a qualified substitute permitted by the Driver Terms. Proof is relevant evidence and may be challenged with contrary evidence; it is not an irrebuttable presumption or a final adjudication by RouteCart.

6. Contactless Delivery

A contactless instruction or later placement change must be recorded through an authenticated Platform method permitted for the Delivery. A request received only by an outside call, text, note, or message does not authorize a different placement. A material destination or Recipient change requires the process stated below.

The Sender must expressly authorize unattended placement and identify a reasonably safe, lawful, and specific location. After the Driver places the package at that location and records reasonable proof, the risk of post-delivery theft, weather, animal interference, or premises conditions transfers as stated in the Delivery Agreement, except for the Driver’s independent wrongful conduct. The Driver should not leave a package where placement is unlawful, plainly unsafe, materially inconsistent with the instructions, or exposes sensitive information.

Redirection. A destination, Recipient, or material delivery-instruction change must be requested through an authenticated Platform method. RouteCart may require account reauthentication, a one-time code, or comparable verification. A change that materially affects distance, timing, risk, handling, or price requires a recorded adjustment and the Driver’s affirmative acceptance. If those steps are not completed, the Driver must follow the original instructions or the failed-delivery process.

7. Failed Delivery, Return, and Storage

If delivery cannot be completed because of unsafe conditions, lack of access, Recipient unavailability or refusal, inaccurate instructions, or another impediment, the Driver must contact the Sender through Platform channels and follow the recorded fallback or return instructions. The Driver may not abandon the package, leave it without authorization, keep it overnight without recorded instructions, surrender it to an unverified person, or place it in a locker or with another carrier without express authorization.

The Sender is responsible for disclosed waiting, return, redelivery, temporary storage, or lawful disposition charges to the extent stated in the Transaction Record or applicable agreement. RouteCart does not take custody. If the Sender cannot be reached, the Driver must use the in-app escalation process or the support channel shown in the Platform. RouteCart may relay instructions but does not become bailee or transporter.

A Driver may use temporary storage only if the Sender authorizes it in the Platform, the location is secure and lawful, and the Driver records custody. A dangerous, leaking, illegal, perishable, or abandoned package must be handled under law and documented safety instructions; no person is required to store it. Lawful surrender to an authority ends custody when documented.

8. Accidents, Safety Events, and Law Enforcement

First obtain emergency assistance and protect people from harm. Promptly report through the Platform any crash, injury, property damage, arrest, material citation, leak, suspected dangerous or illegal item, theft, loss, threat, forced transfer, or law enforcement contact arising from a Delivery. Preserve photographs, witness and insurance information, communications, custody records, and official reports; notify the applicable insurer; and cooperate with lawful investigations. Do not admit liability for RouteCart or represent that RouteCart owns or operates the vehicle or possesses the package.

9. Notice of Loss, Damage, Tampering, or Nondelivery

A Sender or Driver should report nondelivery, misdelivery, shortage, tampering, or damage visible at delivery promptly and preferably within 48 hours after the scheduled or recorded delivery. Damage not reasonably discoverable at delivery should be reported promptly after discovery and preferably within seven days after delivery. If the in-app claim channel is unavailable, use the support contact shown in the Platform. The report should identify the claimant, transaction, package, ownership or other interest, event date, factual basis, amount claimed, and requested resolution and include available evidence.

The preferred 48-hour and seven-day periods support evidence preservation and administrative review only. They do not shorten or waive any minimum claim-filing or suit period required by nonwaivable federal or state law. A claimant remains responsible for satisfying any legally applicable written-claim elements, deadlines, and service requirements. RouteCart’s receipt of an in-app report is not an admission that a legally sufficient cargo claim has been filed against the proper party.

10. Evidence Preservation and Submission

Preserve and, upon reasonable request, provide: the package and contents in their received condition; all inner and outer packaging; pickup, delivery, and damage photographs; purchase, ownership, repair, replacement, and actual-value records; the transaction record and communications; recipient statements; police, incident, carrier, and insurance reports; witness information; and any other material evidence. Do not discard, repair, alter, reship, or dispose of claimed property before a reasonable inspection opportunity unless necessary for safety, mitigation, or law, and document the reason if preservation is impossible.

Each participant must provide truthful, complete information. A Recipient who is not the Sender ordinarily should submit a claim through the Sender. A Recipient may submit an independent administrative claim only if the Transaction Record or a separate claim flow authorizes it and the Recipient affirmatively accepts the applicable claim, privacy, and electronic record terms. Merely receiving a delivery, message, or package does not bind a Recipient to the Sender’s agreements or waive any nonwaivable right. RouteCart may request identity and authority verification before disclosing records or facilitating a claim.

A claimant must take reasonable steps to mitigate further loss and must not seek or retain duplicate recovery from the Driver, RouteCart, a card issuer, an insurer, a merchant, or another source. Any prior or later payment, refund, credit, chargeback, salvage value, or insurance recovery must be disclosed and credited as law requires.

11. Administrative Review

RouteCart may acknowledge a report, preserve Platform records, request information, transmit communications, and facilitate a voluntary resolution. RouteCart may consider proof, transaction records, party statements, apparent inconsistencies, and fraud indicators for administrative purposes such as payment holds, platform credits, or account review. RouteCart does not determine legal liability between Sender and Driver, insure the package, guarantee recovery, or settle a party’s claim without authority.

The Driver and Sender must respond reasonably to information requests and give timely notice to applicable insurers. RouteCart will use commercially reasonable efforts to acknowledge a complete administrative report within five business days and may set a reasonable deadline for missing information, but this target is not a promise to decide legal liability or pay a claim. A refund, payment reversal, Platform credit, account action, or administrative closure is not an admission and does not conclusively resolve legal rights.

12. Valuation and Substantive Rights

Package eligibility and declared-value limits are stated in Schedule A and the transaction record. Any released-value limitation, exclusions, defenses, and allocation of cargo liability are stated in the Sender-Driver Delivery Agreement and applicable law, not created by this procedural Schedule. No limitation protects theft, conversion, fraud, willful misconduct, or liability that applicable law does not permit the parties to limit.

An insurer or responsible party may request a reasonable inspection or salvage opportunity. A claimant may dispose of property without inspection only when reasonably necessary for safety, mitigation, or law and should document the condition and reason. Nothing in this Schedule grants RouteCart ownership or salvage rights in a package.

13. False, Fraudulent, or Abusive Claims

No person may knowingly submit false information, altered or recycled photographs, fabricated receipts, duplicate recovery requests, concealed prior damage, staged loss, or a claim for property not tendered or not owned or lawfully controlled by the claimant. RouteCart may preserve evidence, deny a discretionary platform credit, suspend an account under the applicable Terms, refer a matter to an insurer or lawful authority, and seek recovery of losses caused by fraud. A good-faith claim is not prohibited merely because it is disputed or unsuccessful.

14. Privacy and Records

Any applicable jurisdiction-specific supplement controls this Schedule only to the extent it expressly says so or nonwaivable law requires.

Claim and proof information will be handled under the RouteCart Privacy Policy. Submit only information reasonably necessary for the Delivery or claim. RouteCart may retain transaction, proof, location, safety, fraud, and claim records for the periods described in the Privacy Policy or longer when reasonably necessary for an open claim, insurance matter, legal hold, investigation, or legal obligation.

15. Order of Precedence and Changes

The transaction-specific Delivery Agreement and any applicable jurisdiction-specific contractual addendum that is properly presented and incorporated control over this Schedule concerning substantive liability, released value, dispute resolution, governing law, RouteCart’s role, or a nonwaivable right. This Schedule controls the operational and administrative procedures it addresses. A change applies prospectively after notice and does not alter an already accepted Delivery Agreement unless the parties consent or applicable law requires it.
